The Welding Company's overseas business dates back to 1968, when it established Thai-Kobe Welding Co., Ltd. to produce covered welding electrodes for customers in Thailand. It currently has 10 manufacturing and marketing bases in nine countries. In a three-year midterm plan covering fiscal 2000 to 2002, the Welding Company plans to focus its overseas business on Asia, aiming to secure a 40% share of that market (excluding China). |
