Kobe Welding (Singapore), KWS, was established in January 1979 for the manufacturing of covered electrodes, which are used in the shipbuilding, ship repair, off-shore/on-shore construction for oil & gas, steel fabrication and many other industries related to steel constructions. We are also distributing a variety of welding consumables made by our parent company, KOBE STEEL, Ltd., KSL, to the local market to provide full coverage of the welding consumables.

The company has constantly upgraded its manufacturing facilities and we have achieved the production capacity more than 1,200MT/month with a group of dedicated and resourceful work force. Our staffs regularly exchange the latest know-how with the parent company and visit there to brush up their skills on new manufacturing facilities and QUALITY CONTROL. Our most concern is to support the customers with our QTQ, QUALITY PRODUCTS - TECHNICAL SUPPORT - QUICK DELIVERY, policy and we believe that our products are supplied right in time with the same constant, high level of quality along with well experienced technical support.

The current major product range by KWS is 5 brands come with 18 sizes those have been used in the market popularly. Although the majority of our output is supplied to the local users in Southeast Asia, our covered electrodes are also supplied to customers in Oceania and the Middle East. We are setting up our role as a DISTRIBUTION AND TECHNICAL SERVICE CENTER FOR KOBELCO WELDING CONSMABLES FOR THE CUSTOMERS in these markets.

Our relentless effort to achieve high quality and productivity has led the company to pursue the prestigious ISO9000 QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM CERTIFICATION which we achieved in 1997. We are proud to be the first KSL Welding Company subsidiary to achieve the LRQA ISO9002 CERTIFICATION. Other than the guaranty on the quality management for customers, KWS also can support its users with SHIPPING APPROVALS such as AB, LR or NK on welding consumables to provide better choices.
