INTRODUCTION
KOBELCO WELDING ASIA PACIFIC, KWAP, was established in January 1979 for the manufacturing of covered electrodes, which are used in the shipbuilding, ship repair, off-shore/on-shore construction for oil & gas, steel fabrication and many other industries related to steel constructions. We are also distributing a variety of welding consumables made by our parent company, KOBE STEEL, LTD. to the local market to provide full coverage of the welding consumables. Our relentless effort to achieve high quality and productivity has led the company to pursue the prestigious ISO9000 QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM CERTIFICATION which we achieved in 1997. We are proud to be the first KOBE STEEL, Welding Business subsidiary to achieve the LRQA ISO9002 CERTIFICATION. Other than the guaranty on the quality management for customers, KWAP also can support its users with SHIPPING APPROVALS such as ABS, LR, DNV, GL, BV or NK on welding consumables to provide better choices.
